Bridging the Gap Together!
|Bridging the Gap Together! is an independent Community Interest Company, our aim is to provide a wide range of workshops for parents/carers of children as well as young people with complex needs or disabilities, this could include mental health needs, learning difficulties, sensory or communication impairment, emotional and behavioural difficulties, and/or on the Autistic Spectrum.|
|We will facilitate these workshops by inviting guest professionals and where possible young people living with these conditions to deliver this training in venues across North Somerset. We plan to work collaboratively with other service providers to deliver the best possible service through a wide variety of workshops that best meet the needs of young people, parents and carers, the subject of which may include anxiety, challenging behaviour, self-harm, social skills and other issues.|
Limitations of Service
While Bridging the Gap Together! Aims to provide as many themed training workshops our funding permits. BTGT! is unable to:-
• Intervene or help to resolve any issues parents/carers or young people may have.
• We cannot help anyone directly to access any services.
• Provide an advocacy service.
• Offer any financial help or assistance.
However, where possible we will do our utmost to signpost young people, parents and carers to other appropriate agencies who may be able to offer them the individual support and guidance they may require.
